Update 10/12: Extension Granted - Last Call 11am 10/16/26 ADOPT/RESCUE- SPACE - Last Call 10/14 at 11am CST Beethoven A1301017 5 years old Unaltered Male 69.6 lbs Heartworm High Positive Adopets Link: https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/6bc0af15-0328-4fee-8190-09d2a7d8d9f1 Bio This 5‑year‑old boy is at risk due to significant ocular discharge in his left eye, which cannot be treated in the shelter because of his fear-based behavior. He’s having a hard time trusting people in this stressful environment and struggles with confidence on the leash. Despite this, there’s a softness in him that suggests he wants to feel safe but doesn’t know how yet. With patience and the right support, he has the potential to open up and thrive. Shelter Observation 10/9: Growled and backed up when trying to leash him didn't seem social at the time. Growled and had whale eye, did not want leash.wagging tail, still. 10/11: Laying down as I approached the kennel. Didn't mind me being there, offered a treat and he ate it. I opened the door to take picture of him and he didn't mind. I didn't get close or i didn't touch him. Wasn't displaying aggressive behavior. Playgroup Observation 10/10: This dog is not confident on leash, kept to self, explores yard, and tolerant.
