@awakeafricamedia1: President John Dramani Mahama has welcomed an opportunity for Ghanaian students to pursue specialised studies at Russia’s Patrice Lumumba University. He made this known in his conferment address after receiving an honorary doctorate from Russia’s Peoples’ Friendship University (RUDN University) in Moscow. President Mahama said he welcomed an invitation to send some of Ghana’s brightest students to the university for specialisation. He also welcomed Professor Yastrebov’s proposal to establish a Russian-African Studies Programme, describing the initiatives as opportunities to strengthen educational cooperation between Ghana and Russia.
