@hope.for.huskies: LUKE DIES ON THURSDAY 10/29 at 4PM 🚨🆘 ​30 DAYS on kennel isolation. Now Luke has just 2 DAYS LEFT TO LIVE 💔 This handsome 4 yr old boy was surrendered to the shelter in September. He’s been a good boy with handling by staff and playgroup handlers (who noted he was affiliative with people). He even got to go out on an Adventure Day field trip with a member of the public! I got to visit him in his kennel the other day and he was so happy to get a little attention. He accepted pets and happily took treats. You could tell he missed those interactions with his human friends 😔 ​Sadly, shortly after arriving to the shelter, Luke started to have diarrhea and was placed on kennel isolation. He received a positive result for Giardia 20 days ago. Since initially getting diarrhea, Luke has undergone multiple rounds of treatment for Giardia. Vet staff has noted though his stools are more formed, they are still soft so they have not released him from confinement. He is also now noted to have high anxiety and stress in his kennel due to being observed with bloody paws (not surprising when you haven’t been given enrichment or exercise for an entire month). Luke was given a deadline of THURSDAY 10/29 @ 4PM because of these things.
