My dad always said ‘if your gas tank is half full consider it empty’ he says it helps save your fuel pump and other things, but also just for safety in emergencies and Canadian winters

Hi! adhd human here. My solution was simple: I fill up the same time and place each week no matter what. When I had a longer commute, I filled up twice a week at the same time and place no matter how much gas I had. It was my scarcity mindset I had to get over, because I was using the same amount of gas anyway. NOTE: this may not work for everyone.

My dad always drilled into me to never let gas get below 1/2 tank. He also drilled into me to get my car washed in the winter to get the road salt off whenever I could. My husband laughed a me for doing that. Guess who’s rusty ass truck had rust along the bottom even though it was newer than my own car? 🤔😉

mine is intrusive AF. it pops up a notification, with sound, that says "Fuel is low, would you like to navigate to the nearest gas station?" I typically say no and continue my shenanigans.
