@heartandbonesyoga: It’s no accident that we start our yoga teacher training with a class on perfectionism! Because, have you met yoga teachers?! 🤣 Ok, just being playful but perfectionism shows up in so many sneaky ways and it’s not always what you think. 1. Being ok with knowing not everyone will love my yoga classes. Trying to be the perfect yoga teacher for everyone that walks through the door futile. Learning to trust your voice as a yoga teacher is key. 2. Letting go of the class plan is an act of trust in yourself and the people you teach. The plan is a guide but adapting or changing it to better support what the folks in front of you actually need, it’s powerful. 3. I call this one, “resting yoga face” (😅) and it doesn’t always mean someone isn’t liking your class! 4. Confidently saying “I don’t know” is a yoga teacher superpower. You aren’t supposed to have all the answers! 5. Truly. Not every “struggle” on the yoga mat is your responsibility to solve. More often than not, it’s simply showing that people are learning something new. And your job as a yoga teacher is to create an evitonment where people feel supported enough to explore and get things “wrong.” What else would you add to this list? Share in the comments! _____ And if a perfectly imperfect approach to teaching yoga sounds like a sigh of relief, registration closes October 30 for the H+B online yoga teacher training (200/300 hours) #yogateacher #yogateachersoftiktok #yogateacherlife
