Remove all the wood that’s under the patio then get a flashlight and then just put it around and see if he’s there or put one of his parents on a leash then let them go inside there then you can pull the parent back and the baby will obviously follow his mom, but if I were you, I would just break the whole patio down

I just researched: Use the Dust Bath: Chinchillas are naturally drawn to dust baths and will often run out the moment they hear or see one. Shake or tap the dust bath container near their hiding spot or open cage door, or place the dust bath on the floor and wait quietly. Hope this helps 🙏❤️
