@mollymcadam: When was the last time you washed your hair brushes? We wash our hair, but the brushes we use every day can be easy to overlook. Oil, dust, and styling products collect between the bristles, even when you’re regularly pulling out the loose hair. This is your reminder to give them a little attention during your next Sunday reset. What you’ll need • A bowl or clean sink • Warm water • A few drops of mild shampoo or dish soap, I use @koalaeco • A comb • An old, clean toothbrush • A clean towel Instructions 1. Gently lift out loose hair with your fingers or a comb so you can reach the base of the bristles. 2. Add a few drops of soap to a bowl or sink of warm water. 3. Soak fully washable plastic brushes bristle side down for 10–15 minutes only if their care instructions allow it. Skip soaking wooden, cushioned, and natural-bristle brushes, and follow their specific cleaning directions. 4. Dip your toothbrush into the soapy water and gently work between the bristles to remove buildup. 5. Rinse washable brushes until the soap is gone. For brushes that can’t be rinsed, use a lightly dampened cloth or cleaning brush to remove residue. 6. Shake off excess water and let the brushes air dry completely on a clean towel, positioned according to their care instructions. Hair brushes:
