@vincent_campbell: Ain’t no way you’re gonna stay in my house half musty, eat my food, and tell me what you’re gonna do.” 😂🗣️  We hated being dragged to church every Sunday back then, but look at where we’d be without it. Train them up now so they have a foundation later.  Drop a 🙏🏽 if your parents made you go, and tag someone who needed this reminder today! #parentingtruths #faithandfamily #blackchurch #sundayservice #churchhumor

It was not an option when my daughter was a child. Now she is 18 and will not go anymore 😢. The second half of that scripture was omitted in the video. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” So now my daughter is 18 and has decided to not go to church anymore and no I’m not forcing her and yes she still lives at home. One important thing to remember is that this verse is a principle of wisdom, not a guarantee that a child will never stray. It reminds us of the lasting influence of the foundation we lay for our children. I have planted the seeds, God is watering them. I have faith in God and His word, and of course I will keep praying over her 🙌🏾

Absolutely! Folks don’t understand that not only were we spiritually formed, but we got community through bible drills, Easter speeches, music skills…

I wish my parents made me go to church. I was the only one in the house going to church. When I hear people complain because their mama made them go to church I shake my head because they don't know how lucky they are. No I have kids and they do not have the option we going.

My mom taught us about God, but she never made us go to church. I had a neighbor who took me to her church and I loved it so I became a member at 13 years old. Eventually my mom saw it and joined with us.

#hypergamy #гопергамия Hypergamy isn’t a conspiracy. It’s a preference for a partner perceived as having higher status, resources, or prospects. The internet turned that simple idea into a battlefield. Some people use “hypergamy” to explain each breakup, each rejection, and every relationship that didn’t work. But attraction is not a spreadsheet. Money, ambition, stability, looks, emotional intelligence, shared values, timing, and chemistry all matter — and they matter differently to different people. Yes, status can make someone more attractive. So can confidence, competence, and the ability to create a secure life. That isn’t shocking. We all evaluate partners through a mix of desire and practical reality. Men and women may weigh those factors differently on average, but no statistic can tell you what one specific person wants. The real mistake is treating relationships like a permanent ranking system where everyone is secretly searching for an upgrade. That mindset creates a self-fulfilling prophecy: you stop seeing a person and start seeing a threat. Every success becomes competition. Each disagreement becomes proof they’re about to leave. And here’s the part nobody likes to admit: if you build your entire identity around being richer, hotter, or more powerful than the next person, you’ll never feel secure. There will always be someone with more money, better looks, or a bigger audience. Build yourself because your life deserves it, not because you think achievement can buy permanent loyalty. Choose someone who respects you when you’re winning and when you’re struggling. Watch patterns, not promises. Look for reciprocity, not worship. Hypergamy can describe a tendency. It cannot explain every human relationship, and it shouldn’t become an excuse to stop trusting people. The goal isn’t to become impossible to replace. It’s to build a relationship where neither person is looking for a replacement. Real loyalty isn’t the absence of better options. It’s choosing each other anyway.
