Her having a small disorder (micro deletion) doesn’t erase her being a victim of MBP. More often than not it starts out exactly like that. The proxy has a small illness/disorder that gets exaggerated, then it snowballs into something huge and often leads to the death of the child/victim. Is Gypsy a saint? No, she’s made terrible decisions and should be called out for it. Is she still a victim of abuse from her caregiver and was most likely going to eventually die because of it? Absolutely. Two things can be true at once.

I’m a disabled person who was born disabled. Heart defect. I’ve had 4 major surgeries and several small ones. I needed them but I’m still haunted. I cannot imagine not needing them, being perfectly healthy and still having them done on me. That level of haunting and pain is unbelievable.
