@itstherespawn: The upcoming Call of Duty movie will focus on the human cost of war rather than portraying soldiers as superheroes, according to director Peter Berg. The film is being developed by Paramount Pictures, with a script written by Taylor Sheridan. Speaking to ComicBook, Berg said the adaptation will draw inspiration from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare games, including characters such as Captain Price, Soap, Ghost and Alex. He described them as complicated people with nuanced stories rather than cartoon-like action heroes. While the film will feature the franchise's signature violence and military equipment, Berg wants to explore the emotional burden carried by those who put themselves in danger to protect others. The goal is to capture the realities of being a warrior, alongside the action the series is known for. #film #callofduty #gaming #news
