I see the dots you’re connecting but there’s so much time between that DNC moment and him coming out in the red hat. I think he’s more likely just another ultra wealthy dude that fell prey to right wing ideology via the internet, social media and the people surrounding him. Also think about what he was going through at the maga moment: divorce, manic episodes, nitrous addiction, custody battles and god knows what else. Seems like a perfect candidate to be warped by the right. It’s just not that deep, I can’t imagine the DNC even crossed his mind in that moment because he just wanted to cozy up next to a powerful person like all the other people surrounding trump.

The thing is, his mother was a college professor so Kanye was absolutely raised in a way where he would have known how to dress and present himself appropriately. Presenting and behave as he did was a choice.

both nicki and kanye are huge contrarians. they both valued doing and saying whatever they pleased without consideration to what is deemed “appropriate” or “proper”. the thing with being a contrarian though, is if you don’t have grounded morals it can lend itself to hypocrisy

You’re absolutely correct. I think we make assumptions based on color hence why there’s so much push back in this comment section regarding his mom being a professor (not from an esteemed institution), or him having money (not pedigree). It’s a quiet classification that can be hard to duplicate. And I’m not saying it’s a good thing.
