The world is a strange paradox nowadays...where I have seen this happen both ways, whichever party makes the effort is rewarded with indifference from the other. I wish we lived in a world where indifference is rewarded with indifference and effort is rewarded with effort. This is the reason why a lot of us overtime develop dysthymia and become emotionally dysregulated and our nervous system gets wrecked overtime from these dynamics.
