@dr.austin.lake: You can normalize your thyroid labs and still have persistent symptoms. So what are we missing? When I work with patients who aren’t feeling better despite treatment, I look at more than whether their numbers fall within the standard reference range. Thyroid hormone conversion, nutrient deficiencies, autoimmune activity, and other underlying factors all deserve a closer look when symptoms persist. Fatigue, brain fog, hair loss, and difficulty managing your weight shouldn’t be dismissed simply because your labs look “normal.” Your lab results need to be interpreted in the context of your symptoms and the full picture of your health.
