I didn’t know you could get the dumplings ready done 😱 I do pretty much the same only difference is I don’t use the seasoning/ casserole sachets and I toss my beef chucks in seasoned white flour before going in the slow cooker as find that helps to thicken the stew gravy I just use some beef stock/maggie , Worcestershire sauce ,some thyme and whatever other seasonings take my fancy on the day . Served with (preferably) crusty /tiger bread lots of butter to mop up the gravy 😋😋
