@recovery648: 💔💸 An emotional story can touch your heart, but how can you tell whether an online fundraiser is genuine or designed to take advantage of your kindness? 🤔🚩 Scammers may use heartbreaking stories, stolen photos, or fake charity pages to collect donations. Before giving, research the organization independently, verify its legitimacy through trusted sources, and donate only through its official channels. Never let guilt or urgency pressure you into sending money to a private account. 🔍🛡️ 🚨 Suspect a donation scam? Save screenshots and payment records, report the fundraiser through the platform’s official tools, and contact your bank or payment provider promptly if you believe you’ve been defrauded. ❓ What would you check before donating to an unfamiliar online fundraiser? 💬 Share your advice to help others give with confidence and avoid scams! #DonationScams #ScamAwareness #onlinesafety
