@theopenposturedoc: “Shoulders back and down” might be the most repeated bad advice in posture. Your shoulders aren’t built to go there. And it won't fix them rounding forward. Instead, 1. spread your ribs on the inside so they lift like bucket handles (and keep them there while you breathe with your diaphragm). 2. Learn to use the underside of your arm, the part almost nobody touches. Feel for the front of your shoulder blade and find your serratus anterior, the muscle deep against your ribs that connects to your shoulder blade. Tip the bottom of the shoulder blade forward and the back tip back, and you get the real motion that carries your shoulder into place, instead of yanking it down or tightening the back. Then stack it with taco hand: cinch the base of your thumb toward the base of your pinky without closing your fingers, wrist curved. That little “butt” on your hand plugs tone all the way up your tricep into the underside of your shoulder, while your trap up top stays soft. It’s a lot of layers, I know. But this is what finally lets your neck and traps relax. You don’t need a new exercise. You need to learn the nuance to make ANY exercise healing. Incredible Logic :
Can't you just do back exercises to build more tension and strength to the traps? wouldn't that help to bring the shoulders back naturally?

I literally don’t understand how this is so confusing to people? If you don’t understand what she’s saying you need to back up and learn about mind muscle connection and muscle engagement
