Not my advice nor am I a streamer but I still think it's a good one. Dedicate time for editing, publishing on multiple platforms and general logistic tasks. 2 hours of well edited content is more valuable than a dozen hours of just streaming.

One thing i enjoy when watching streams is when the streamer will read chats out loud or any dialogue out loud! I like to listen in while I work and the running commentary of things relevant helps me feel involved ^^ best of luck and welcome to streaming!!

My best advice for you is don’t fall into the trap of follow for follow… 99% of those follows will be empty and have little to no engagement. I’m a pro self promoting/networking streamer. On my ad breaks I encourage my viewers to self promote in my chat. This gives them an opportunity to find other streamers to watch, connect with, collab with ect. It’s not just dropping your twitch handle in the chat but giving a brief introduction of yourself as a streamer. I’ve seen huge changes in my chats engagement, and how many frequent flyers I have now. I do the same in my discord. Hope this helps! Have a great day and good luck!!!

I’m no “veteran” shoot I literally just 300 followers lol. Best advice for YOUR stream is to be yourself. If you’re a laid back person then be laid back. If you’re energetic and loud then be energetic and loud. Don’t try to make a persona that isn’t you. (Obviously cosplay or something is different). To grow? #1 is get out there and network. Join discords. Hang out in other folks’ streams. Interact with people. At the end of your streams find someone and raid out. ((If you’re not familiar, a raid is you taking all of your viewers to another streamer. All of your viewers switch to whoever you raid instead of getting a dark screen and having to find someone else on their own. People remember raids and they can be a lot of fun))

I’ve been doing this for a year and a half. The most important thing I can tell you? Dont get discouraged and quit. It takes time to get there but you will never get there if you quit! Dont look at the numbers, dont worry about what’s popular or what the big streamers are doing. Be yourself! A flower doesn’t grow if it’s constantly hiding in someone else’s shadow. Remember your mental health, take breaks if you need them. But most importantly, more important than anything. Please remember that you are human, that you are going to make mistakes, that it takes time to learn, and remind yourself that you are doing your best.

I would recommend find your style/niche. The algorithm recommends content to people based on their taste. If you do a bunch of random stuff it’s going to make it hard to recommend it to people unless you only do popular up to date content. That’s hard for someone starting out since it’ll get lost in a sea of content. Instead start with who you are and who you want to attract. For example for me I mainly do horror and romance games since I’m a concubus/devil. Best of luck on your journey 😁

Just remember always stay clowntastic. don’t try to compare yourself to others because you are your own unique person with so much potential. if you feel burnt out give yourself a little break and don’t be to hard on yourself and if you have goals always try them you’ll never know if you don’t try! Another thing don’t post multiple clips a day only post once a day and make sure you have the appropriate hashtags!
