I did a bunch of bicycle touring in the 1970s and the early 1980s and stopped when I moved to Mendocino in 1986 that became too dangerous with larger cars and distracted drivers with cell phones. It is lovely to vicariously enjoy an activity that is now in my past I still have the Trek handmade frame from their prototyping days along with most of the components had a hand selected and installed when I worked as a bicycle mechanic for the bicycle repair collective in Portland. I need a smaller frame now and also my old needs instead of these new replacements that don’t work for any kind of bicycling due to the annoying clicks.
