@notafraiddaughter4: 🚨❤️ SHE HAS HELPED SO MANY FAMILIES. TODAY, I'M ASKING FOR HELP FOR HERS.❤️ A Personal Flood Relief Appeal for Yvette Begay & Family — Rock Point, Arizona My heart is heavy as I write this. As my hometown of Rock Point continues to navigate the devastating flooding, I am reaching out on behalf of someone very dear to my heart — my sister, Yvette Begay, and her family. For those who may not know, Yvette worked alongside me as my assistant at Navajo Lutheran Mission. Together, we spent countless hours serving our community, conducting outreach, connecting families with resources, and making sure those who needed help weren't forgotten. But the truth is, I could not have done so much of that work without her. She knew our families. She knew our community. She knew who was struggling, who needed food, who needed assistance, and who might never ask for help themselves. I relied on her heavily because she had something that cannot be taught — a genuine heart for our people and a deep understanding of the community we served. She was one of those people who worked quietly behind the scenes, making sure others were cared for, often without recognition. And now, the person who helped me reach so many families is among those who need our help. 💔 The pictures I am sharing show just a glimpse of what Yvette and her family have endured. Floodwaters have surrounded their home, entered their living space, and damaged their belongings. And as if the flooding wasn't enough, Yvette has shared that their home was also struck by lightning. I cannot imagine the weight of trying to protect your family, your home, and everything you've worked for while facing one emergency after another. ❤️ TODAY, I AM ASKING THAT WE EXTEND THE SAME LOVE AND COMPASSION TO HER FAMILY THAT SHE HAS GIVEN TO SO MANY OTHERS. Yvette and her family are staying with relatives as they mitigate cleanup and are in need of the following: Immediate household needs: - Food and drinking water - Gift cards - Blankets, sheets, and bedding - Hygiene products and toiletries - Diapers and wipes (toddler sizes 6–7) - Cleaning supplies - Area rugs, chairs, tables, and dishes - Socks and underwear Clothing and shoes: - Children's clothing: sizes 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 - Children's shoes: sizes 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, and 13, including toddler sizes - Adult clothing: M, L, and 2X - Adult shoes: sizes 8, 9, and 10½ Animal care needs: - Cat and Dog food and a doghouse - Hay and grain for horses 📍Drop-off Location: 1 mile South of Rock Point Store, Mile Post 494 💙🙏FOR THOSE WHO WOULD LIKE TO HELP FINANCIALLY: Monetary donations will help the family purchase immediate necessities, replace damaged belongings, and begin the difficult process of recovery and rebuilding. ❤️ Yvette Begaye Zelle: Yvette Begay (928) 349-5010 Zelle: Glen Begay (928) 429-0869 📦 MAILING ADDRESS FOR DONATIONS: Yvette Begay P.O. Sometimes sharing a family's story is what connects them to the help they need. I know there are so many families throughout Rock Point experiencing tremendous losses right now. My heart remains with every one of them, and I will continue advocating for the resources and assistance our community deserves. But today, I am asking for help for someone who has spent so much of her life helping others. Yvette, you have helped carry so many families through difficult times. Now it is our turn to help carry you and yours. I see you. I appreciate you. And I love you. To everyone who has offered prayers, resources, donations, and support to Rock Point, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Our strength has always been in how we care for one another. ❤️ With love and gratitude, A proud sister and daughter of Rock Point. #RockPointStrong #RockPointAZ #NavajoNation #FloodRelief #CommunityHelpingCommunity
