Despite the growing controversy around AI-powered license plate readers, the local police department said they have had no connection to the camera. mostly, insurance companies. they love to be able to just write a simple prompt and find out if the right rear fender of your car showed any damage a week before somebody hit your car there and you made a claim. no tinfoil hat involved; this is exactly what they do.
