One day, I hope that our medical science looks back upon these types of procedures as being barbaric compared to the new treatments. 🫣

My surgeon went thru the side and it healed much quicker. Although I have still had a long recovery.

Five back surgeries most recent one a year ago and I’m still healing and in pain. I have enough metal, screws, and rods in my back along with a stimulator until I’m almost not human anymore. It’s painful and not fun. I don’t wish this on anyone.

Hubby had fusion, screw came lose. He had a revision with a new doc. Still not great and cadaver bone graft didn't encourage anything. Not the best surgery.😳

This is 2026, we have sent satellites to the edge of our known universe and knee and back surgeries are still barbaric.

Mine was done as my L4 came completely out of alignment and running my spinal cord. X-ray showed an empty space at L4.

This would be why I opted out of my fusion surgery. Go to the gym exercise strengthen your core and you’ll lower back muscles. You’ll be fine.
