I got divorced at 50 after being in a coercive controlling relationship for 34 years although such a thing was not recognised back then . I am now 72 and the last 22 years have been the happiest of my life !

I’ve been single for about a year now, haven’t dated or talked to any man romantically at all. And life has never been more peaceful. I feel so content being alone because I’m not lonely. I have a handful of good friends and family. I have my two cats. And absolutely none of the women in my life are nagging about me getting a man and/or kids. There’s a reason for that ☮️

100% I’ve been single 6 years, since my youngest was born. I live in a calm and happy home with my 2 kids and my mum. She left her abusive husband 5 years ago and moved in with me, no arguments, no worries, we share household chores etc it’s the most content we’ve ever been ❤️

my advice to young women is to truly fall in love with yourself in your 20s. party with your besties, traveling the world and become and remain financially independent your whole life. Never let a male be the center of your life. If or when you think about sharing this amazingly curated life with a male, analyze what he brings to the table versus the added mental and physical load you will pick up with him. nothing wrong being single by choice. #LiveYourLife I promise you won't be bored or lonely. ❤️
