@mlissspencergaughan: Can we talk about something besides grandkids for a minute? 😂 Because Grandma has a question, and I have a feeling this might stir up some trouble! I’m almost 60 years old. I’m single. I’m a full-time grandma, I’m rebuilding my life, growing my own business, and somewhere in the middle of all this beautiful chaos, I’ve started wondering… What would it be like to actually DATE again? 👀 Now, don’t get me wrong. I love my independence. I love doing what I want, when I want. I don’t need somebody telling me what to do, how to spend my money, or why I’ve got 47 packages coming to the house. 😂 But wouldn’t it be nice to have somebody to laugh with? Go out to dinner with? Take a spontaneous road trip with? Somebody who actually wants to enjoy life instead of sitting around complaining about everything? Here’s where I need some help. WHAT IS DATING EVEN LIKE THESE DAYS?! Do people still meet in grocery stores? Do men actually approach women anymore? Or am I supposed to download some dating app, swipe left, swipe right, and hope I don’t end up on an episode of Dateline? 🤣 And another thing… Why does society act like women over 50 or 60 are supposed to stop wanting romance, excitement, and a little attention? Excuse me! I didn’t get this far in life just to sit in a rocking chair waiting for bingo night! I’ve raised my children. I’m helping raise my grandchildren. I’ve survived some pretty rough chapters, and I’m finally doing things for ME. I don’t need a man to complete my life. But I wouldn’t mind somebody who adds something wonderful to it. And NO, I’m not looking to raise another grown man. Been there. Got the T-shirt. Probably donated it to Goodwill. 😂 So I want to hear from everybody. Ladies over 50, are you dating? Is it fun? Is it a complete disaster? Have you found somebody wonderful? And gentlemen, I want to hear from you too. What are men our age actually looking for?
