@thats_inappropriate: They can in fact… FIGURE IT OUT! I am so proud of my 17 yr old daughter for speaking up and discussing her grade with her professor!!! She is in fact…figuring it out 😃👏👏👏#momlife #teen #parenting #figureitout
Isn’t this the entire purpose of parenting. To create self sufficient adults? Why are people mad.

You taught her to advocate for herself, that’s different than “figure it out.” Far more positive

If I wanted to move out, especially if I had no privacy because I have a TikTok-obsessed mum who puts all our family business and conversations on the internet, it’s not normal.

My kids have figured it out! They are 22 and 24 and never ever ever did that make them feel abandoned by me. I helped them figure it out because here’s the deal. You can raise a daughter who’s figured it out all on her own without the help with her mother, don’t be surprised when she was no contact with you. No one and I mean no one wants to grow up, but they called mother no matter how much they appreciate figuring it out or being independent.

I am a figure it out parent. And I got my 4,7 and 17 year old figuring it out before they even ask for help. And they feel proud of themselves when they do, especially the little ones

Why has no one taken into account that HOW your daughter informed you she was moving out after graduation? That makes a massive difference in your response. Idk about others, but I could be an idiotic jerk at 17…bc I was a KID! Maybe she was matching energy!? And sometimes, learning the hard way is a choice we make on our own.

As parents it’s our responsibility to teach our kids to speak up and figure it out. We will not always be around to handle things for them. One of my greatest accomplishment will be teaching my daughter to be a kick ass adult!!
