@kenny_dyal: BONUS QUESTION: Is that a DIN or YOKE regulator 1st Stage connected to the tank? ❓ It took us a few times back in the day to figure this one out… It's sneaky and hard to catch unless ya submerge it in a fill tub or remember the tank when seeing it out diving (more common in high-use rental fleets). There can be a few other things in the handwheel assembly, a crusty copper ring or bushing, but the seat itself will usually leak out of the opening ever so slightly if it has truly worn down to failure. Just enough to drain a tank down a bit while it sits, but usually not loud enough to hear it. O-rings are so much fun! This is also a reminder that valves do in fact need servicing, too. 🤿🔧 #scubadiving #scubagear #scubatank #howthingswork #scubadivingwithkenny
I just replaced one this summer and my dive instructor made me change it myself! In all fairness I’m training for my divemaster and he was teaching me!

great thing to carry is one of those travel spray bottles from Walmart. put some dawn and water in it and you can check your bottles before you go in. Just had the same leak last week and we caught it before they went in
