@collinsgarage1: They say the third time’s the charm… let’s hope that applies to this 5.3 LS. 😂 This truck has already been to two other shops, and now it’s landed in our hands. Somewhere along the way, somebody attempted a DOD delete, and unfortunately, it wasn’t done right. Now we get to dig through someone else’s work, figure out what went wrong, and try to get this thing back on the road. This is one of the tougher parts of this business. You never know what you’re walking into when you take on a job that’s already had multiple sets of hands on it. Sometimes you’re fixing the original problem, sometimes you’re fixing the last guy’s fix, and sometimes you’re doing both. We’re not here to bash other shops, and I’m not going to pretend I know the whole story until I get it torn down and figure out exactly what happened. All I can do is diagnose it properly, use quality parts, follow the correct procedures, and give this customer an honest answer. At the end of the day, I want every vehicle that leaves Collins Garage to leave right.
