@custosdei: Right before he died, Jesus said one word: "Tetelestai." 🕊️ In Greek, it was written on receipts and debt papers. It meant "paid in full." The Gospel of John records it as his final cry, and it is usually translated "It is finished." Think about that. He wasn't saying "I'm defeated." He was saying the debt is cleared. Every failure, every regret, every night you thought you were too far gone. The Gospels also say that darkness covered the land for three hours while he hung there, and the very next words he spoke were "Father, forgive them." Not a curse. A prayer for the people who put him there. If you're carrying guilt or pain today, hear this: you are not too late, and you are not too lost. 🤍 Follow for a short daily meditation to bring you peace. Share this with someone who needs it today. 🙏 #jesus #faith #christiantiktok #bible #gospel
