AUTUMN HAIR + BODY BUTTER Recipe: • 1 cup shea butter • ½ cup cocoa butter • ½ cup total liquid oils (pumpkin seed, argan + chamomile/calendula-infused jojoba) • Tiny touch of vanilla absolute Directions: 1. Melt butters using a double boiler. 2. Cool slightly, then stir in oils + vanilla. 3. Freeze 10-15 min, checking until partially set. 4. Whip until light + fluffy. 5. Store in a clean, completely dry glass jar. I use it to smooth frizz, add shine + style my hair and my babies' curls. It doubles as body butter! • DIY infused oil note: Cover dried chamomile + calendula with jojoba oil in a completely dry jar. Seal and infuse in a cool, dark place for 4-6 weeks, shaking occasionally. Strain thoroughly into a clean, dry bottle. • Keep water out of your butter, use clean, dry hands or a scoop, and refrigerate to help preserve freshness. You can customize this with whatever butters and oils you have! A good starting point is 70% solid butters + 30% liquid oils. Want a softer, creamier butter? Add a little more oil. Want it firmer? Use less oil and more butter. Just remember, more oil doesn't necessarily mean fluffier..the whipping and cooling process help create that light, airy texture!
