Honestly, I think it’s a combination of both Carrick and the players. Carrick is responsible for the tactics, substitutions, and getting the best out of the squad, but the players must also show discipline, confidence, and consistency. A good manager can improve a team, but he can’t eliminate individual mistakes. The real test is whether Carrick can adapt his system to the players he has.
