Today, I walked 3 miles for my mom. 💗🎀 At the end of March 2025, my mom was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, and life hasn't been the same since. Although the cancer was removed from her body last year and all of her preliminary scans have appeared clear, today feels like the final piece of the puzzle we've been waiting for. God willing, this will be her last surgery related to breast cancer. 🙏🏽 Through countless appointments, chemotherapy, surgeries, and recovery, her strength has been incredible, but her unwavering faith in Jesus has been even more powerful. Watching her navigate this journey has forever changed all of our lives. And while today I'm walking for my mom, I'm also walking for my best friend, my aunt, every woman fighting, every survivor, every family supporting a loved one, and every life we've lost along the way. 💕 🎀 DID YOU KNOW? 💕 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. 💕 Approximately 1 in 3 new cancer diagnoses among women in the U.S. are breast cancer. 💕 On average, a woman in the U.S. is diagnosed with breast cancer about every 2 minutes. 💕 An estimated 321,910 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2026. 💕 Triple-negative breast cancer, the type my mom was diagnosed with, accounts for approximately 10–15% of breast cancers. 💕 When breast cancer is detected at its earliest, localized stage, the five-year relative survival rate is over 99%. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is about so much more than wearing pink. It's about education, early detection, knowing your body, advocating for yourself, and supporting the women around us. Schedule your mammograms when recommended, learn your family history, don't ignore changes in your body, and remind the women you love to prioritize their health. 💗 #BreastCancerAwareness #WomensHealth #CancerAwareness #FaithOverFear #BreastCancerJourney
