EP.32 | The Child They Threw Away 🌍 Mercy and Fire Nnamdi staggers, blind and panicked, begging Adaeze for help, and she calls the guards, who drag him away. Beatrice falls to her knees and begs Adaeze not to hurt her because she has a daughter. Adaeze tells her to leave the country with her child and never come back, and Beatrice hurries out without looking back. Udeh kneels before her, apologizing, and Adaeze tells him to leave the town and never return or he will die. When he pleads, she asks whether she should take his sight too, and he shakes his head in fear, bows and leaves. Then Adaeze sees Emeka at the back of the hall, ashamed and thin, and hugs him. She senses something is wrong, and he tells her they need to talk. Under a mango tree outside, Emeka confesses that a week after her funeral he got drunk, fought a man and killed him. Beatrice saw it and took him home, and she and her father forced him to marry her with the video as leverage. He admits Beatrice abused Oluchi in front of him and he did nothing, not even throwing her out. Adaeze slaps him twice and says he is no different from Beatrice and Nnamdi. He says he will turn himself in to the police, and she says she never wants to see him again, even near her daughter.Oluchi comes, takes her mother's hand and asks to go dance. Emeka calls her "my child," and Oluchi says she hates him. They walk away toward the drums while Emeka weeps. In the final scene, the great hall glows with lanterns and flowers as the whole community dances. Adaeze and Oluchi sit on the throne, crown on her head and ring on her finger, then Oluchi pulls her mother up to dance with her. The Five watch and smile, and the camera rises over the hall as a mother and daughter dance in the light with no mark hidden anymore. #foryoupage #fyp #foryou #anime #tiktok - @ssm_animmelodies
