FYI, from someone whose spouse and son drive trucks, it’s about to get a LOT worse. A lot of food is still being delivered under rates that were negotiated the end of 2025. Companies are currently negotiating new rates and it’s going to go up significantly for two reasons. First, obviously the price of diesel. Second, a large percentage of the trucks they have taken off the road were drivers that would accept insanely low rates which forced bigger companies to have to compete.
