@phreshyoungcoconut: ok so i gotta choose by the end of the year if I wanna renew my lease or move back in w my parents. if i renew the lease it would have to be month to month bc im moving out again in a couple months for school. overall rent and utilities would cost 10k until school. if i move back in w my parents then i would save 8k (assuming it’s 2k for hiring movers) bc I wouldn’t have to pay rent but HEAR ME OUT: no more matcha station, no more doing wtv I want, not as much space for content creation, issues over meal prepping (my parents don’t understand I can’t meal prep for work and cook for them all the time and they don’t even work full time), my mom basically took over my room and idk if she’d be willing to vacate my room, have to keep belongings separate from my parents which could offend them ex) kitchenware bc it’s easier for when I have to move again UGHHHHHHHHHH
do it if you have a safe second space! it’s what i’m doin 😞

As someone who moved out, I moved back with my family and honestly live with them as long as you can especially in this economy

It sounds like you listed all the reasons you shouldn’t move back. Maybe equate your rent prices to not have to worry about that list of negatives with moving back, that’s the cost of peace of mind and your mental health; hopefully that puts it into perspective?

Well considering it’s only a few months it doesn’t sound like the worst idea to save up a little; however if you feel like it would cause you mental health issues or you feel like you wouldn’t have enough space or time to yourself I think you shouldn’t. Give it a little thought and talk to friends about it or even make a detailed pros and cons list like pro of staying matcha, personal space, being able to meal prep. Or pros for leaving, saving money so you have extra to spend while you’re in school, not being focused on having to pay rent until school starts, ect

Move back in if they start stuff start paying a little bit for living there, but not as much as you would pay for an apartment of course, and make your rules and boundaries and set them because you’re paying
