@kpixtv: The National Weather Service has extended a flood advisory for low-lying parts of the Bay Area due to expected tidal flooding, with high tide already setting records. The agency has extended the flood advisory through 5 p.m. Friday for shoreline locations along the San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay and Monterey Bay, along with low-lying parts of the coast. "Rising tides will bring water and waves farther up the beach than normal, restricting escape from beaches and coastal areas. More substantial impacts are expected along bayshore Marin County where increased flooding is anticipated across low lying areas," forecasters said in a statement.
