I’m a School Psychologist and I always start the meetings with “I know this may feel really intense and even judgmental sometimes. We are not judging, we’re on your team.” And I find that kind of helps? 😩😅 Trust me I do not enjoy going through EVERY detail of my evaluations. It can make the student appear negative when we know that’s not the full picture. I hope your special education team is awesome!! 🤩

The hardest time I ever cried was after several years of therapy, and the teacher said "If I didn't know, I wouldn't know" It's wild how much trauma those meetings can build up!
