Wait! Is that Gil Carrillo? Theee GIL CARRILLO? We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy!! Frank Solerno’s partner in the Night Stalker case. I met Gil at an officer involved shooting. I’m an attorney (former cop) and I represented the officer. Gil rolled out to conduct the OIS investigation. We sat in a room at the police station and while we waited he told me all about the Night Stalker case. So cool. Great guy! Great detective!!!

An LASD legend and very well respected bulldog referring to any unit as “the big boys” should tell you something.

Gil, just recently about 5 years ago most or all homicide Units for the City of LA have been centralized into Homicide Bureaus consisting of like 4 different stations in one Homicide Bureau..Its a big change and yes we still have Robbery Homicide Division for all High profile cases and so on..Hey brother if u see this comment, thank u for not falling into the LAPD VS LASD rhetoric, the insults and stuff...You have always been respectful.
