💚🏙️ WHO AM I, AND WHY DID I CREATE WE ARE CHEYENNE? 🏙️💚 With how much We Are Cheyenne has grown since I last shared my story, I thought it was time to reintroduce myself and explain WHY this community means so much to me! I'm sure some people have wondered... 🤔
💚🏙️ WHO AM I, AND WHY DID I CREATE WE ARE CHEYENNE? 🏙️💚 With how much We Are Cheyenne has grown since I last shared my story, I thought it was time to reintroduce myself and explain WHY this community means so much to me! I'm sure some people have wondered... 🤔 "Who is this guy?" 🤔 "Why does he work so hard promoting Cheyenne?" 🤔 "Who does he think he is, coming here and doing this in MY town?" And you know what? Those are fair questions! ❤️ MY ROOTS IN CHEYENNE GO BACK GENERATIONS! My grandmother was born in 1917 and grew up in Cheyenne. She tap danced at the historic Atlas Theatre and later worked as a nurse at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital. Many of my uncles and my grandmother's sister worked for Union Pacific Railroad. Both my Mom and Aunt were born here, and much of my family grew up on Cheyenne's South Side. Although I grew up in Allen, Texas, I spent countless summers in Cheyenne attending family reunions. CHEYENNE WAS PART OF MY STORY LONG BEFORE IT BECAME MY HOME! After graduating from the University of North Texas, I moved to Las Vegas, where I spent years working in hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, and promotions. In 2019, I left Las Vegas and moved to Cheyenne to begin a new chapter. Since then, I've worked in local restaurants, attended community events, made friends, and discovered just how much this city has to offer! 💚 SO WHY DID I CREATE WE ARE CHEYENNE? Because I saw AMAZING businesses, musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, organizations, and events that deserved more recognition! I wanted to create something that would help bring our community together while celebrating everything that makes Cheyenne special. And look how far we've come!!! What started as an idea has grown into a website, local business directory, podcast, social media community, and now even a MOBILE APP FOR ANDROID AND APPLE (coming soon)!!! 📱🎉 But let me make something VERY CLEAR... I DIDN'T CREATE WE ARE CHEYENNE BECAUSE I THINK I'M BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE! I don't claim to know everything about Cheyenne, and I certainly don't think this is MY town. I CREATED IT BECAUSE I LOVE THIS TOWN, BELIEVE IN ITS PEOPLE, AND WANT TO SEE IT THRIVE!!! ❤️ I'm not trying to compete with the wonderful organizations and people already doing great things here. I WANT TO HELP AMPLIFY THEIR EFFORTS!!! Do I have all the answers? NO! Will I make mistakes? ABSOLUTELY! But am I willing to work hard, keep learning, and continue building something positive for this community? YOU BET I AM!!! 💪 Because you don't have to be born somewhere to make a difference there. You just have to CARE enough to TRY! To everyone who has followed, shared a post, listed a business, listened to our podcast, downloaded our app, or simply encouraged me...
