Tired of excuses… it took my family TEN years to immigrant here LEGALLY and they were leaving religious persecution! They were 16 and 21, knew two other languages and were able to learn English and graduate high school/college and advanced degrees and have a career!

Others have to wait 5+ years because the waiting list to become a US citizen is so long. The United States takes in more immigrants every year than any other country in the world.

If someone from another country wants to integrate and become a US citizen, if they have done their research and plan, they should already start to learn OUR language before they arrive. IMO.

As a mechanic in a production plant, when the line lead calls for an issue and they can’t explain it but rather have to use Google Translate…that’s an issue
