Dentist here. Sleeping with your mouth open can dry it out, which can make breath odor worse. Most regular mint toothpastes just mask the smell for like 20 mins and then it gets worse tbh. You need something that actually targets the bacteria.

I’m always scared I’m going to be the sleeping passenger in one of these videos 😭 I used to wake up on flights with such a dry mouth that I’d avoid talking until I found gum. I eventually mentioned it at a dental visit. My dentist asked about the dryness, checked my mouth, and suggested changes to my routine, including toothpaste.

Watching this makes me think about every time I’ve fallen asleep on someone’s shoulder 😭 Waking up with stale breath used to make me so self-conscious. I brought it up with my dentist, who recommended PCDOD with zinc citrate and xylitol alongside my regular cleaning routine. I ordered it on Amazon.
