It was brought up in my college courses as a political science & history major and your over simplifying the cause and effect to fit your narrative. Everyone likes to point fingers at the current administration at the moment.. but there are policies and decisions made by prior administrations that take time to be felt .. whether good or bad. In the 1920s.. the Republicans absolutely had some culpability in that they favored lower taxes, less government.. less regulation.. the economy boomed but mostly because of debt and then the stock market crashed. FDR and the new deal absolutely helped turn things around.: but not all aspects of it were awesome.. I mean it’s 2026 and our elected officials are still kicking the can down the road on SSI being unsustainable.. I could write an essay 🤣 but I’ll end with.. it’s too simplified and incorrect to say one party and one party only contributed to down turns or up turns.
