c'est exact prof, ne rendons pas la tâche difficile aux élèves... d’ailleurs, L’APC c'est de démystifier les choses pour rendre les cours plus clairs, plus simples et plus accessibles aux élèves.👍👍

Central Coast communities are mourning the death of Dolores Huerta, with activists and leaders reflecting on her enduring legacy of civil rights and human rights advocacy. “What stands out to me most about Dolores' legacy is her grace, her deep, deep decades-long commitment to civil rights and human rights, and her unwavering sense of direction in terms of what she wanted to accomplish,” Mireya Gomez-Contreras, executive director of Esperanza Community Farms, said. Her legacy is not only about her achievements but also about the work she inspired others to continue. “There is no doubt in my mind that Dolores Huerta has left big shoes to fill, but I also know with all my heart, I believe it, that her wish would be for many, many people to fill her shoes. We have needed a civil rights leader in this country,” Gomez-Contreras said. “This is a moment, I think, for all of us to look within and see what our contribution is going to be,” Gomez-Contreras added. Huerta collaborated with Barrios Unidos, based in Santa Cruz County. Executive Director Nane Alejandrez said her death is deeply felt, but her influence will live on through those she inspired. “We definitely feel her departure so suddenly. It hurts, but I want to just tell everybody that we stay strong and that we continue doing the work that she taught us and led us to walk the right road,” Alejandrez said. Alejandrez said their relationship spanned decades. “Dolores and our relationship go back many, many years since I was a youngster out doing stuff, and the relationship of Barrios Unidos and Dolores Huerta is like one,” Alejandrez said. “She was always very supportive of us. She liked what we did, she knew that violence was not the way to take care of things, so she showed up for our 25th anniversary, and she showed up for our 40th anniversary, and she was a special guest for our 50th anniversary next year,” Alejandrez said. Monterey County Board of Supervisors member Luis Alejo said Huerta’s passing is a significant loss to the Latino community. “I think many of us stand in political office today because of the trailblazing work she did for our community, and for farmworkers, especially here in the Salinas Valley, the Pajaro Valley. These were places where a lot of the battles were fought,” Alejo said. “Basic things that we have today, such as rest breaks, meal periods, disability insurance, unemployment insurance—at one point, none of these things existed for agricultural workers throughout the entire state of California and many other parts of the country,” Alejo said.
