Her son wont always be a child and he needs to know mom loves you and will fight for you even when your wrong. If she looses custody it wont be because she didnt fight.

I definitely have a gut feeling that whatever the truth is, that the ex is an asshole. It’s a major red flag to me as someone who works in education that he would get this upset over just being evaluated for services.
