کسی کو معاف کر دینا انسان کے اچھے اخلاق، وسیع ظرفی اور بڑے دل کی نشانی ہے۔ معاف کرنا ہمیں نفرت، غصے اور انتقام کی قید سے آزاد کرتا ہے، لیکن معافی کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ ہم کسی شخص کو دوبارہ اپنی زندگی میں وہی مقام دے دیں جو کبھی اسے حاصل تھا۔ بعض لوگ ہماری نرمی اور خلوص کو ہماری کمزوری سمجھ لیتے ہیں، اسی لیے ضروری ہے کہ ہم دوسروں کو معاف کرنے کے ساتھ اپنی عزتِ نفس اور ذہنی سکون کی حفاظت کرنا بھی سیکھیں۔ زندگی کا اصل شعور یہ ہے کہ ہم دل میں کسی کے لیے نفرت نہ رکھیں، لیکن ماضی کے تجربات کو بھی فراموش نہ کریں۔ اعتماد ایک قیمتی دولت ہے جو وقت، سچائی اور کردار سے حاصل ہوتی ہے، اور ایک بار ٹوٹ جائے تو اسے دوبارہ قائم کرنے کے لیے صرف الفاظ نہیں بلکہ مسلسل عمل اور سچی تبدیلی درکار ہوتی ہے۔ اس لیے اچھے انسان بنیں، دوسروں کو معاف کریں، مگر اپنی حدود مت بھولیں۔ ہر شخص کو معافی دینا آپ کے اختیار میں ہے، لیکن ہر شخص پر دوبارہ اعتبار کرنا ضروری نہیں۔ Forgiving someone is a sign of a kind heart, emotional maturity, and inner strength. It frees us from the burden of hatred, anger, and revenge. However, forgiveness does not mean giving someone the same place in our lives that they once held. Sometimes, people mistake our kindness and sincerity for weakness, which is why we must learn to protect our self-respect and peace of mind while letting go of resentment.
