Corporations are increasingly using AI to maximize productivity and reduce their workforce, but this could eventually create a serious economic problem. When large numbers of people lose their income or purchasing power, consumer spending falls, demand shrinks, and businesses lose revenue. If companies continue cutting jobs in the name of efficiency without considering the broader economic impact, the gap between productivity and purchasing power will keep widening. AI is like steroids for productivity, but businesses still need paying customers. Without sufficient consumer demand, even highly automated companies can struggle financially declaring bankruptcy no sooner later
