Spinning tops are one of the oldest toys ever discovered. Archaeologists have found tops dating back thousands of years in places like Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, and Japan. Long before screens, engines, or electricity, people were fascinated by the simple act of making an object spin. I've been collecting modern spinning tops for about 8 years now, and these are some of my favourites: 1. Edge Industries (One of a Kind) A completely unique piece. There is only one like it in the world. 2. BilletSPIN K2 (Production) One of the most iconic production tops ever made and a favourite among many collectors. 3. Spin in Style (One of a Kind) A handmade custom piece from one of the hobby's most respected makers. 4. AMW (One of a Kind) A rare custom top from a maker known for producing highly collectible pieces in very limited numbers. 5. Clockwise Tops (One of a Kind) One of the standout pieces in my collection and not something you see very often. 6. BilletSPIN Xeno (Production) A modern design that looks completely different from what most people picture when they think of a spinning top. 7. Jon Sauer Ornamental Top (One of a Kind) Part spinning top, part artwork. A beautiful example of ornamental turning. 8. Stemless Edge Industries (One of a Kind) One of the most unusual tops I own. No stem, no handle, just spin. Most people don't even know top collecting exists, but there are makers and collectors all over the world keeping this ancient hobby alive. Which one is your favorite?
