• ¾ cup + 1½ tbsp warm water (200 ml)
• ¾ cup + 1½ tbsp neutral oil (200 ml)
• 1 packet dry yeast
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp mahleb, optional
• About 5 cups flour
• Chocolate spread
• 1 egg yolk
• 3 tbsp milk
• Chopped hazelnuts Mix the warm milk, water, yeast, sugar and some of the flour. Add the oil, salt and remaining flour gradually. Knead until soft and smooth, then cover and let rise until doubled. Divide into 12 pieces, roll each one out, add chocolate and fold. Cut into strips and twist into a braided shape. Let rise again for 15–20 min.
