Republican Party: Public policy analyses and nonpartisan research groups (such as the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities) consistently find that Republican-led tax legislation—including major packages under President Trump and subsequent GOP-backed reconciliation bills—delivers a disproportionately large share of its total tax cuts and deductions to high-income earners, large corporations, and the top 1%.

You’re really leaning into this opinion vs facts thing. Obviously I put it out there as an opinion. This is TikTok. You took it several levels higher.

Let’s put it this way…you say presidents don’t control everything about these specific issues….but do they campaign like they do? And if things go well don’t they take the credit like it was all them?

Democratic presidents have created significantly more net jobs than Republican presidents over the last 20 years (covering roughly 2006 to 2026, which spans parts of George W. Bush's second term, Barack Obama's two terms, Donald Trump's term(s), and Joe Biden's term).

Post-WWII U.S. data shows that real GDP growth has historically been higher under Democratic presidents than under Republican presidents, though economists debate the extent to which presidential policies versus external factors drive these differences.

Can’t wait to hear your responses. Please start with the tax cut one. And I’d love it if you threw in Reagan and the trickle down economics.

oh Shannon my conservative friend yes they do not control a lot of things but their policies do and things can be manipulated. there's no denying that the Iran war has caused gas to go up also diesel. and there's no end in sight and all I keep hearing is all after the election after the midterms it's going to go back down no it's not. it's just temporary is what I keep hearing. 160 days plus is not temporary and by the way that's that's a new record for gasoline being over $4 a gallon now who was the previous president that had that record at 153 days.......

Hmmm, Trump's first year of his second term books are complete. His administration spent 2 trillion more than it took in. Leading factors for the red ink were military actions taken, lost revenue from big beautiful bill, immigration enforcement.
