I think Weak Kingsley was designed in a lab to appeal to me specifically. The entire cast was super interesting to me from the moment we got their initial profiles, but the whole "lost everything, denied the ending that would make him a legend" angle makes him really unique in the setting. We don't get a lot of focus on decay and aging and the loss of ability. That's why I was really shocked so many people seemed to think he would die early... He's the most fascinating and thematically rich member of the cast! What writer worth their salt would throw him away?! Plus he's voiced by the legend Clancy Brown!!!

The fact that his name has weak and king is absolutely perfect. For a world like cyberpunk 2077 it’s pretty much perfect for his arc to the public he’s weak but to his people he’s the king you wanna serve.

I think his character really gave me a different point of view on the tower ending of 2077, despite his cyberware loss he can still make a new life and surround himself with better people, shame you have to side with Myers to get it

i recently went through a pretty tough break up just before i watched egderunners 2 and weak helped me through it sm, ik it sounds dumb but the way king managed to rebuild and find a new purpose has genuinely helped me in hard times

i liked his character, the only reason i could see/want him chrome up again is to explore how cyberpsychosis is a psychological issue that is not only from chrome, in the end when he is mentally better i dont see why he couldnt(not should, but could as in possible) chrome back up and be fine

I’m more conflicted on the ending of the characters. It was a good ending don’t get me wrong but I’m so used to the endings of people in cyberpunk being so sad or if a “good” ending it being filled with uncertainty (star ending for V), so it didn’t really feel like it was cyberpunk (also the whole mecha kaiju capri stuff was out of place imo)

I don't think it's media illiteracy I think it's just wanting what's been shown before I remember STRONGLY that when Roman was revealed people thought his brains was gonna get blown out out by episode 2 the writers of both the game and the earlier season more or less set that kind of tone same with weak and people wanting to see him in his prime this is something that we got in both the game and the earlier season in a way but hey what do I know im an anime fan who's not familiar with deeper writing

The ONLY thing I wish was different about King and Talia's story is that I really wish King was the one to talk to Talia at the end instead of D. Or at the very least you had D appealing to Capri, and King appealing to Talia. its not the only issue I have with the show but its a little thing thag bugged me.
