Yeah it will be interesting if we are given a cost of living increase for the new year. My company has been on a hiring spree. Hiring mostly unnecessary new employees. We’ll see

No money in the budget on a raise, then spend millions on a software like Workday that does NOT work, and still roll it out with hundreds of bugs and errors that aren't paying people their salaries.

We got $.25 raises this year because the company was budgeting but decided on a random Tuesday that the NEW flat screen tvs in the gym needed replaced with newer flat screens…also the fridge in the office was ugly so we needed a new one (double door stainless steel replaced with a new double door stainless steel). Not to mention the record breaking profits this year…

I was a naive baby in corporate when I worked a year towards a leadership role and during all this time they were like "Sure sure. We will get you there". Then I did not get the raise and they hired a total new employee at the same departement which "DiD nOt hAvE tHe bUdgEt" for me. Hardcore burnt

Sort of sounds like the logic used by the government.....no room in the budget for anything to help the people and in fact we need to make cuts, but wait, somehow there's money for a new ballroom!

After I went on mat leave they split my position into two positions and hired two new whole separate people to do the job I was doing alone-and mind you-for 8.5 months I was able to get the job done while also dealing with all the pregnancy symptoms you can name lol.
