My son's school has 1 subjects textbook combine for jss 1-3. And this is for almost all subjects. and he carries 4-5 of these books every school day to school and back home. Since when was jss 1-3 book combined into 1?

In our school days, textbooks and even exercise books were kept in cupboards and when it's time for that particular subject, the class captain will go for them and share to the students. Textbooks were supplied by the government but these days; era of free education, we're made to buy textbooks and students carry them home. I can't think far. I agree we're living in a useless country where only politicians get to enjoy but my question is, can't these textbooks be kept in the schools to prevent this from happening? It has been my headache for ages oo

teachers should guide the kids to prepare time table so they will know the subject they have every day and it will help the children not to send all their books to school.🙏

Finally someone is talking about this. 5 years down, the nation will see a lot of spine deformities due to the excessive books we allow our kids to carry to school. This should actually be a national campaign… thank you sir!
